Project SEARCH Job Coach

Project SEARCH is an exciting work focused transition program for high school students labeled w/ an intellectual disability. This endeavour, where students/teacher/job coaches are embedded in a corporate setting, is the first of its kind in Canada. The lead organization, SCE LifeWorks, is a non profit organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities to work in the community.
Applications are being accepted for two Job Coach positions.
The job coaches will primarily work in a corporate office environment; duties include provision of work experience training & task analysis support to students. Successful candidate attributes include:

Positive, professional & engaging working demeanor

Excellent verbal/written comm. skills

Strong MS Office skills/comfort with computer tasks

Creative thinker; problem solver; initiator; works w/ min. supervision

Experience supporting people w/intellectual disabilities &/or autism

Demonstrated flexibility & ability to work as a team player

Pref: human services degree or equiv. combined education & experience
